Full verbatim transcript of voluntary interview under caution.

From Friday, September 13, I have been in email and text contact with both PC Williams personally and with Sussex Police more generally.

I publish them below with no commentary, because they are largely self-explanatory — especially to anyone who has read my original article or the verbatim transcript of my tape-recorded voluntary interview under caution on Friday, September 13 2024.

I will shortly be publishing an update, which will include reasons why I am considering a formal complaint against Sussex Police of my case and the subsequent inaccurate and libellous article by Jo Wadsworth, of Brighton and Hove News, published on Friday, September, barely fours after I saw the summons by “postal requisition” from Sussex Police.

Wadsworth has, I believe potentially committed a “strict liability” offence, by publishing material — in the course of active legal proceedings — that creates a substantial risk to the course of justice in contravention of Sections 1 and 2 of the Contempt of Court Act 1981.

Regardless of the outcome of my case, my complaint against Sussex Police would include the fact that it provided Wadsworth with a statement identifying me and giving the name of the road where I live — when it was under no statutory obligation to do so and without alerting me to the fact it was doing so.

As a result, Wadsworth’s publication of the article — including the Sussex Police statement — caused my family significant distress and concern for their safety.
