A proposed motion for inclusion on the draft agenda for the meeting of Brighton & Hove Momentum at the Brighthelm Centre at 6pm on Thursday, January 16:

“This meeting calls on the executive committee (EC) of Brighton & Hove Momentum to organise an online poll of all members of Momentum in Brighton and Hove to discover their preferences to be the next leader and deputy leader of the Labour Party.

“It further calls on the EC to include in the poll all candidates so far nominated by MPs and MEPs.

“Finally, it calls on the EC to communicate full details of the results of the poll to members of Brighton & Hove Momentum and to the national coordinating group of Momentum before February 21, when the official ballot of Labour Party members opens.”
