Leaked two-page confabulation by Jack Spooner, paid Labour Party organiser answerable to Councillor Warren Morgan, leader of the Labour Group on Brighton and Hove City Council (Warning: Some foul language)
On Monday, July 11 — two days after the annual meeting of Brighton, Hove and District Labour Party (BHDLP) at City College, Brighton, Jack Spooner — the paid organiser answerable to Councillor Warren Morgan, leader of the Labour Group on Brighton and Hove City Council and a close friend of Harris Fitch — wrote a two-page communication to Harry Gregson, then the Labour Party’s acting regional director.
When confronted on September 5 with a [leaked] copy, Mr Spooner — who had been told not to attend the annual meeting in an official capacity — was confused about whether or not he had written the communication; when pressed, he admitted he had written it, but that “two or three other people were involved”. He insisted Cllr Morgan had not seen the communication, which is riddled with lies and smears.
